Some of my Favorite Prints
Lake Superior
This print is inspired by a photo I took when I visited the Great Lake Superior and hiked the national lakeshore, pictured rocks. I took this photo into the studio and used pronto plates to transfer this digital photo into the physical space.
Smelling the Flowers
Pretty much everything I do is inspired by nature, so I saw it only fitting to create a work of art inspired by it. For this print, I used a printmaking technique called engraving to get the black lines on the print and then went over and water colored the bouquet to add dimension with color.
Trashy Cat
When you think of a chunky raccoon what comes to mind? For me, trashy cat comes to mind. When walking around Savannah I always see cats laying on the windowsills of houses and I think what if there was a raccoon laying on the porch railing instead? This was my first ever print and it was made by engraving into wood. This is still one of my favorite prints that I have created.
Chatte
Imagine a french 1920’s cigarette girl on the cover of your favorite fashion magazine. Now replace this beautiful French woman with a cat, and that’s how I came up with the concept. I love when art mixes the norm with something unexpected and fun. This multi plate print was made using four pronto plates in the CMYK colorways.
